The Canaries second largest island, and boasting an enormous 152 beaches this is an all year round Mecca for beach lovers. With its sub-tropical climate and sometimes turbulent seas this is the home of serious water sport and surf fanatics. The island is famous for playing host to many international windsurfing competitions each year.

Also known for its sandy dunes, where there is wind and beaches you’ll find ample dunes and you can explore this Sahara like terrain on camel through the Corralejo Natural Dunes Park. The whales and dolphins deserve a visit also in one of the many organised boat trips. The nightlife is laid back with plenty of live music bars that cater well for the surf-set and for leisurely dining there are is a fine selection of excellent restaurants serving fish and seafood.
